The ISCA will maintain a "mailbox" for players interested in any college that is registered and in attendance. fIf you have interest in one of these programs you may leave a note for the college coach to pickup.. These mailboxes will be in the banquet ticket tent. This tent will also serve as the registration and program distribution point for the college coaches.
The Indiana Soccer Coaches Association, ISCA, is a voluntary organization of all the boys and girls high school coaches in the state of Indiana. Coaches/Schools can join each year for a $40 fee, and this allows the coach and their players to participate in post season awards. In 2007 the ISCA had 168/264 boys coaches join, and 143/249 girls coaches. The ISCA is the only high school soccer association recognized by the IHSAA.
The awards that the ISCA distributes are:
- Regular season coaches poll/rankings.
- All-State Academic (3.7 juniors, 3.6 seniors)
- ISCA Top Team Player (one per school).
- Six All-District teams, 18 first team players, 12 second team players.
- 1st. 2nd, 3rd, and HM All-State Teams.
The ISCA also hosts an awards banquet where it distributes these awards.
The ISCA holds district meetings throughout the state the Sunday following the boys Sectional Championships, October 19th for 2008. All member coaches of record are invited to attend their district meeting. Coaches nominate players by submitting player profiles online by Oct. 11th, in advance of the meeting. Only those players' who are nominated online appear on the District Ballot.
Every member coach in attendance at the District meeting will have the opportunity to present and promote any players from their roster who are listed on the District Ballot.
Each District selects 18 First Team and 10 Second Team players. From this list, the top 18 Junior and Senior players are offered roster positions for their District Showcase Teams. It is these teams that compete against each other in the Showcase this weekend. Freshmen and Sophomore players are eligible to make the District team and be on the All-State ballot, but may not compete in the Showcase games due to IHSAA and NCAA rules.
Showcase admission is $5.00 for one session and $8.00 for the weekend
